Butler-based Cutting Edge Solutions recently received three awards from the Retail Solution Providers Association at the group's annual conference July 27 in Las Vegas.

This was the first time one firm received so many awards in one year.

John Giles, Cutting Edge Solutions president and CEO, received the honors for the company's Future POS Fusion Digital Signage for Fine/Family Dining, enabling their customers to implement all types of promotional and advertising programs for free. The award for the Innovative Solutions category was given by the Retail Solutions Providers Organization (RSPA) and VSR Magazine.

The second award for ISV/VAR Collaboration between Rick Orr, CEO and founder of ATX Innovation, and Danny Vaughan, general manager of Future POS Texas, was also presented by the Retail Solutions Providers Organization and VSR Magazine for Future POS's Tabbed Out interface for smart phones. This new technology which is a free mobile application for the iPhone and Android platforms that allows a patron to open, view and pay bar or restaurant tabs directly from a smart phone.

Cutting Edge Solutions also proudly accepted the Silver Vendor of Excellence Award in the Software Providers category — the company's fourth in five years. The award is determined by votes from dealers that sell the Future POS software, and are compared to the other software companies within the organization. Future POS previously received the Gold Medallion Award in 2006 and Bronze Awards in the Software category in both 2008 and 2009.

Future POS Software is installed in many local restaurants including: Springfield Grille, Iron Bridge, Rachel's Roadhouse, The Hickory Grille, Conley Resort, Monroe Hotel, The Beer Garden, Compadres, Benjamin's, Log Cabin Inn, Ginger Hill Tavern, North Country Brewery, Natili's, 6-Pack Grille, B&J Coney Island, Vin & Joe's, County Line, Blue Ribbon Tavern, Stone Mansion, Jergels, Snack and Pack and Mama Rosa's.

WORTHINGTON — Moonlight Credit Union has started construction of it new main office at 101 Deer Park Road in Worthington.Currently in the Worthington Civic Center, Moonlight Credit Union was incorporated in 1947 and operates as a nonprofit cooperative serving 2,700 members in the surrounding communities.The new offices will be on Old Route 422.The new office is expected to be done in late fall-early winter this year.

• MSA has declared a third quarter dividend of 25 cents per share on common stock, payable Sept. 10 to shareholders of record on Aug. 18.The board of directors also declared a dividend of 56¼ cents per share on preferred stock, payable Sept. 1 to shareholders of record on Aug. 18.
