Schiebel 50th anniversary
Clarence "Sonny" and Ruth Schiebel of Chicora celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a dinner party at the home of their daughter and son-in-law in Chicora. The event was hosted by their children and their spouses.
The former Ruth Waltman married Schiebel on May 18, 1957, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Oakland Township.
They have three children, Greg Schiebel of Worthington, Dan Schiebel of Butler and Jackie Johnston of Chicora.
They also have four grandchildren.
Schiebel is retired from Pullman Standard. He belongs to the Chicora Moose Golf League, the Butler County Horseshoe League and the Social Security Boys bowling league.
Mrs. Schiebel is retired from J.C. Penney.
The couple belongs to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland, where Mrs. Schiebel belongs to the Christian Mothers group.
