The Douglasses in 1960

Ed and Joan Douglass of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Douglass married the former Joan McClelland on May 7, 1960, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have three children, Darryl Douglass of Zanesville, Ohio, Lisa Pizor of Butler and Lori Asbury of Virginia Beach, Va.

They also have nine grandchildren.

Douglass is retired from Peoples Natural Gas.

Mrs. Douglass is retired from Murray's Real Estate, where she was a realtor. She also worked at J.C. Penney. She is a member of her church choir.The Douglasses are members of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church.
