Josephine C. Cobern, 76, of Butler, died Thursday at Sunnyview Home.

Born Oct. 30, 1931, in Butler, she was the daughter of Vincent and Catherine White Fornelli.

She was a homemaker.

She was formerly employed at Davy and Hilliard Drug Store, Betty Thomas Personal Care Home and Barkus Bakery.

She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, and she was a former treasurer of Lafayette Apartments Association.

Surviving are three sons, William V. Cobern and his wife, Beverly, of Baden, and Charles M. Cobern and his wife, Cheryl M., and Stephen F. Cobern and his wife, Cheryl A., both of Butler; a brother, Louis Fornelli of Butler; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Rose) Pallone, of Butler; seven grandchildren, David, Caitlin, Justin, Sara and Abigail Cobern of Butler and Ryan and Christopher Cobern of Baden.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
