Summit Academy, which played its first season in 1998, became the last team to earn a spot when it broke through in 2013.

Appearances are from the district playoffs and championship games played to settle tiebreakers before postseason formats were determined.

The AIC bowl, played in the 1970s, and the Clarion Little 12 title games, which were played in the 1970s and 80s, aren't counted as playoff berths.
