The Herolds in 1958

Clarence and Elizabeth "Betty" Herold of Prospect will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house at 3 p.m. Monday at Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church in Butler.

Herold married the former Elizabeth Thompson on June 28, 1958, at Branchton United Methodist Church in Slippery Rock.

They have two children, Charlene Eckert of Franklin Township and Jeffrey Herold of Slippery Rock.

They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Herold is a retired heavy equipment operator.

Mrs. Herold is a homemaker.

They enjoy traveling in their RV.

The Herolds attend the Presbyterian Church of Prospect.
