Weiland 50th anniversary
Francis "Gabby" and Doris Weiland of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage Feb. 7 with a Mass at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Carbon Center, followed by a reception at the Elks Club.
Weiland married the former Doris Dillaman Feb. 7, 1959, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church.
They have four children, Richard Weiland, Teresa Weiland and Mark Weiland, all of Butler, and Tina Hay of East Butler.
They also have one grandchild.
Weiland is retired from Armco Steel. He enjoys bowling and belongs to the Butler Moose.
Mrs. Weiland is a homemaker. She volunteers for Butler Health System and belongs to the Elks 170.
The Weilands both enjoy golfing and are lifetime members of V.F.W. Post 249 and the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department.
The couple belongs to St. Wendelin Catholic Church.
