Virginia Rose Campbell
Virginia Rose Campbell, 79, of North Canton, Ohio, formerly of Hooker in Concord Township, died Thursday in the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness.
Mrs. Campbell was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Dutch Hill, Pa., the daughter of the late William O. and Martha Stewart Rose.
She graduated from Parker High School in 1949. Before her marriage, Ginny worked at the former Craftsman-Zeigler Printing in Butler.
Her hobbies were cardinal bird collecting and playing cards, especially 500. She was a longtime member of a 500 card club. Ginny enjoyed traveling and visiting with her children. First and foremost in importance to her was being surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, George “Bro” M. Campbell, who she married Oct. 14, 1950, of Canton, Ohio; five children, Martha (Wayne) Bender of Massillon, Ohio, Georgeann (Randy) Purnel of Cathedral City, Calif., Thomas (Teresa) Campbell of Cathedral City, Calif., Sally (Michael) Bilbrey of Canton, Ohio, and Charlotte (William) Nee of Shorewood, Minn.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet DeHart of Emlenton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William S. Rose.
