David Leroy Lintz

David Leroy Lintz, 83, of Saxonburg, formerly of Harmony, passed away at 10 p.m. Thursday at the Saxony Health Center.

He was born Sept. 21, 1926, in Butler County, the son of the late Leroy Lintz and the late Myrtle (Gehring) Lintz.

He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

He retired from Babcock-Wilcox Steel in Ambridge, and he also farmed. He enjoyed gardening. He had gone "green" before "green" was popular.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice (Whitely) Lintz, who he married Jan. 30, 1954: two daughters, Karen Oakman and her husband, Greg, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Juanita Thompson and her husband, Kelly, of Slippery Rock; a son, Mark Lintz and his wife, Cindy, of Saxonburg; six grandchildren, Brandy Mitchell, Autumn Gomori, Amber Thompson, Adrienne Devlin, Kyle Lintz and Alexis Lintz; two sisters, Darlene Keul of Ellwood City and Sandra Butteri and her husband, Charles, of Beaver Falls; two brothers, John Lintz and his wife, Roberta, of Butler and Gerald Lintz and his wife, Vivian, of Monaca; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, an infant grandson and an infant great-grandson.

<B>LINTZ </B>— Friends of David Leroy Lintz, who died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 157 Unionville Road, Butler, with Kevin Koegler officiating.
