The following are the winners of the recent Butler County Kids Pageant held at the Butler Days Inn.

Lauren Rosellini, 5, daughter of Louis and Connie Rosellini of Butler, was named Little Miss Butler County for 2004. She will be entering the senior kindergarten at Canterbury School this fall.

The following awards were also presented in the Little Miss Butler Category, open to girls ages 3 to 7:

First runner-up and Little Miss Photogenic,

Devon Tracy, 3, daughter of Christopher and Susan Tracy of Rural Valley; second runner-up, Hope Schnell, 6, daughter of Mike and Tracy Schnell of Prospect; third runner-up, Julia Malloy, 6, daughter of Scott and Jennifer Malloy of Butler; and fourth runner-up, Brienna Simmons, 4, daughter of Doug and Treva Simmons of Slippery Rock

The winner of the 2004 Little Mr. Butler County title, for boys ages 3 to 7, went to Hunter LeFever, 6, son of Ronald and Sandra Lefever of Butler. He will be a first grade student at Meridian Elementary School in the fall.Runner-up titles were given to the following participants:First runner-up, Miles Troup, 4, son of Michael and Marlo Troup of Freeport; second runner-up and Little Mr. Photogenic Butler County,Taylor Frankenstein, 7, son of Roger and Danielle Frankenstein of Butler; and third runner-up, Nicholas Martin, 4, son of Charles and Jeanna Martin of Cabot

The winner of the 2004 Young Miss Butler County title, for girls ages 8 to 12, was Kailey Hazlett, 12, daughter of David and Cindy Hazlett of Cabot. Kailey, who will enter the sixth grade at South Butler Middle School this fall, was also awarded the Young Miss Photogenic title.The following participants were also recognized:First runner-up, Hannah Adler, 11, daughter of William Adler of Butler and the late Linda Adler; second runner-up, Jennifer Reibie, 11, daughter of Mark and April Reibie of Valencia; third runner-up, Hope Vitous, 10, daughter of Robert and Christine Pflugh of Butler; and fourth runner-up, Paige Allen, 9, daughter of Jeffrey and Renee Allen of Butler

The winner in the 2004 Young Mr. Butler County category, for boys ages 8 to 12, was Mike Cefalo, 9, son of Richard and Michelle Cefalo of McCandless Township. Mike will enter the fourth grade at St. Theresa of Avila School this fall.The following participants also were recognized:First runner-up, Michael Troup, 8, son of Michael and Marlo Troup of Freeport; and second runner-up and Young Mr. Photogenic Butler County title, Austin Gagliardi, 8, son of Robert and Angela Gagliardi of Butler

The winner of the 2004 Teen Miss Butler County title, for ages 13 to 16, was Karlee Kaminski, 15, daughter of Michael and Cindy Kaminski of Sarver. Karlee is a 10th grade honor student at Freeport High School.The following participants were also recognized:First runner-up, Sara Bono, 15, daughter of Randy and Tina Bono of Butler; second runner-up was Lacey Aloisio, 14, daughter of Jeffrey Aloisio and Renee Aloisio, both of Grove City; third runner-up, Ashley Lefever, 14, daughter of Ronald and Sandra Lefever of Butler; and fourth runner-up, Suzanne Thomasmeyer, 14, daughter of Craig and Beth Thomasmeyer of ButlerThe winners of each category were presented a crown or medallion, a banner and a trophy. They will be the guests at several community events throughout the year.

Harold Repasky, a physics teacher at Seneca Valley High School, was chosen recently to participate in the 2004 Cornell Institute of Physics Teachers Contemporary Physics Program at Cornell University.The two-week program, supported by the National Science Foundation, seeks to update teacher knowledge in contemporary physics, provide classroom-suitable laboratory activities, provide teachers with classroom equipment and give teachers the opportunity to interact with other teachers and with Cornell's faculty and staff.

Glenda Waldrop of Harmony has been awarded one of 10 second prizes in Timber Wolf Tobacco's Ultimate Racing Experience Sweepstakes.Waldrop was awarded a racing scanner and headset, one of several racing-themed prizes included in the sweepstakes.

Winners at the Butler Duplicate Bridge Club game, held Aug. 5, were:North/South: Joanne Zambroski and Lynn Rafferty, Jan Horwitz and Louis Joseph, Jean Brackett and Helen Brydon and Thomas Richards and John Kristufek.East/West: George Aggen and Judy Ludwig, Raymond Kramerand William Frank and Betty Thompson and Hank Shields.
