Natali

Irene A. Natali, 93, of Steelton Avenue, Butler, died early Wednesday morning at her home.

She was born in Pittsburgh, Sept. 29, 1916, a daughter of the late Marian and Alexandra Palaszewski Wilamowski.

A lifelong homemaker, Mrs. Natali had worked in the accounting office at the Butler Armco plant during World War II.

An active member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, formerly the St. Stanislaus Parish, in Lyndora, she was a past president of the St. Stanislaus Guild and the St. Fidelis Ladies Guild, had been a sacristan at the church for more than 20 years, a C.C.D. teacher, a former member of the parish council, lector and member of their choir.

Irene had served as secretary of the Butler Deanery Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, was a member of Catholic Daughters of America Butler Court 443 and the C.D. of A. Parliament. She was an originator of the Polish language class, had been den mother for the Polish Girl Scouts and wrote two plays in Polish.

Also an avid golfer, she had chaired and played in several area ladies' golf leagues. She also enjoyed crafting, crocheting and knitting.

She was the widow of Mitchell A. Natali. They were married Sept. 9, 1939, and he died Dec, 23, 1999. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Mitchell Wilamowski and Henry Wilamowski; and two sisters, Mary Chrzanowski and Barbara Jean Wilamowski.

Surviving are a son, Deacon Mitchell M. Natali and his wife, Georgene, of Butler; two grandchildren, Brian M. Natali of Butler and Aaron (Shelley) Natali of Evans City; two great-grandsons, James D. Natali and Dominic J. Natali; two sisters, Sister Mary Presentatia of Coraopolis and Mrs. Roberta Zawacki of Pittsburgh; and two sisters-in-law, Genevieve Natali and Dolores Natali, both of Butler.

<B>NATALI </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Irene A. Natali, who died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, 303 Penn Ave., Lyndora. The Rev. George Palick, parochial vicar, will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.Members of the C.D. of A. Butler Court 443 will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.The Bereavement Committee of St. Fidelis Parish will conduct a vigil service at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Toys For Tots.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
