Ronald and Jean Kratzer

Ronald and Jean Kratzer of Saxonburg celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner.

The former Jean Rowland married Kratzer on May 19, 1956, at the Lutheran Parsonage in Winchester, Va.

They have two daughters, Pamela Tamblyn and Gretchen Hill, both of Butler. They also have two grandsons.

Kratzer retired from the Pennsylvania State Police in 1985 after 30 years of service.

Mrs. Kratzer is a homemaker and former clerk at the Family Drug Store in Butler.

The couple belongs to First United Methodist Church in Butler. They enjoy traveling.
