Today - Two suspects were cited for bouncing checks at the Friedman's store on West Brady Street in September.Charged with writing bad checks was Christine Marak, 31, of 695 Bonniebrook Road, who is accused of bouncing three checks totaling $104.70; and Debbie Tillander, 33, of 952 E. Jefferson St., who is accused of bouncing a bad check of $150.96.Monday - Someone overnight used a BB gun or slingshot to damage five vehicles at Butler County Ford on Main Street.10:38 p.m. Saturday - Steven Stepp, 44, of 518 W. Cunningham St. allegedly smashed a window of a car parked on South Chestnut Street. Stepp is charged with criminal mischief and public drunkenness. Angel Moyer of Slippery Rock owns the car.

5:19 p.m. Monday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Dustin Whitling, 18, of Emlenton struck an embankment on Route 58 in Allegheny Township and rolled over twice before landing on its roof.6:20 a.m. Monday - Kevin Tinkous, no age given, of Kent, N.Y., swerved his tractor-tractor to avoid a deer and crashed on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.7:25 p.m. Sunday - A pickup truck driven by James McClean, 27, of Slippery Rock struck a ditch and utility pole along Humphrey Road in Worth Township. Police said McClean fled the scene following the crash. Police said a number of traffic violations are pending against McClean.6:20 p.m. Sunday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Kari Sutton, no age given, of Parker and a mini-van driven by Patricia Elford, no age given, of Grove City collided on Route 108 in Worth Township. Sutton, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken with serious injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City. Her condition was not known this morning.Friday - Approximately 130 compact discs were taken overnight from a car at the Cherry Valley Road home of Melissa Congalton in Clinton Township.

Monday - A safe containing about $3,500 was taken from an office in a burglary between 2 and 7 a.m. at the St. Cloud Hotel in East Brady, Clarion County.

10 p.m. Monday - A motorcycle driven by Robert Clark, no age given, of Grand Blanc, Mich., struck a deer on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County. Elaine Clark, no age given, of Grand Blanc, a passenger on the motorcycle, was taken with minor injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City. A police report did not indicate if either rider was wearing a helmet.9:56 a.m. Monday - Marvin James Davis, 28, no known address, was arrested for driving a stolen sport utility vehicle on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township.Police said a search of the previously reported stolen vehicle with a Florida license plate, turned up forged documents, digital scales, suspected drug paraphernalia and a small amount of suspected marijuana.Davis was arraigned for receiving stolen property and placed in the Mercer County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. Police said additional charges are pending.
