8:44 p.m. Sunday — A minivan driven by Michael Gibson, 45, of Parker struck a pole on Bell Drive in Pullman Square near Kmart. Gibson and a passenger, Brittany Gibson, no age given, of Parker suffered minor injuries. Gibson told police the crash occurred when he swerved his vehicle to avoid hitting a cat.5:52 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Ryan Riemer, 19, of Sarver struck the rear of another car at Center Avenue and Herman Road. John Davis, 31, of Butler, the other driver, and two passengers in his car, Gabriel Davis, 10, and Seth Davis, 8, both of Butler, suffered unknown injuries.Police said Riemer was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Sunday — Police said Richard Dean Rieger, no age given, of Prospect was arrested for simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting a Butler area woman following a domestic dispute at aBear Creek Road in Prospect.3:38 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Laurie Recchia, 38, of Portersville struck a road sign and crashed on Route 19 in Portersville.2:14 a.m. Saturday — Rick Kriess, 32, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 about one-half mile south of Route 138 in Clay Township.Saturday — Several tires on vehicles were slashed between late Thursday night and Saturday morning in southern Butler County communities.Police said a car on Patterson Road in Jefferson Township was apparently the most recent target between 5 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Two separate vehicles on Rockdale Road in Penn Township also were vandalized between 11 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday.Additionally, the tires on still other vehicles in Jefferson Township and Saxonburg were reportedly slashed over the weekend.Saturday — Paul Walter reported that he found two burned vehicles on his Bruin Road property in Washington Township. Afence on the property was also damaged. The damage was estimated at $800. Police said the incident occurred between Jan. 24 and Saturday.Saturday — An undisclosed amount of diesel fuel was stolen between Wednesday and Saturday from several commercial vehicles at Joe's Transmissions on Knoch Road in Clinton Township.Saturday — Several undisclosed items were stolen between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday from the Hannahstown Road home of Kimberly Ebig in Jefferson Township. Police said a Saxonburg male, who they did not identify, is suspected in the theft.3:13 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Derrick Custer, 18, of Hilliards, while attempting to pass two other vehicles, hit a utility pole after sliding off Branchton Road in Washington Township. Police said Custer was cited for a lane violation.8:06 p.m. March 9 — Julie May Zelina, 30, of Fairview, Pa., was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.

2 a.m. Thursday — An unknown driver in an unidentified vehicle struck a utility pole along Route 173 in Pine Township, and drove off after the crash.State Police, New Castle3:35 p.m. Friday — Police are investigating the report of a missing person. Allison Nicole Stoyanoff, 14, of Ellwood City was last seen getting into a black vehicle with another female and a male outside her residence.The girl was wearing a red long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and a brown winter coat. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the barracks at 724-598-2211.
