MARS — Traveling storyteller Lethan Candlish will present the program Tales of Mystery at 3 p.m. Monday at the Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave.

YWCA offers bus trip to Erie casino

The Butler YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St., will sponsor a bus trip Aug. 1 to the Presque Isle Downs and Casino.

The bus will depart at 7:45 a.m. from Moraine Pointe Plaza and is scheduled to return at 5 p.m.

Cost is $30 per person and includes $12 in bonus coupons, a $2 meal coupon and $5 in promotional dollars. Participants must take two forms of identification.

FOXBURG — The Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Arts will host an auction Saturday to benefit the ongoing refurbishment of Lincoln Hall.Admission is free and the event will be held at RiverStone Farm Horse Barns in Foxburg. Participants should take their own chairs.Doors will open at 9 a.m. and the auction will commence at 11 a.m. The event will include a Chinese Auction. Food will be available for purchase.The auction will include antique furniture, artwork, and event tickets.

ELLWOOD CITY — Members of the Ellwood City chapter of Order of the Eastern Star are now accepting reservations for a narrated fall trip on the Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad.The trip will include a narrated train ride through the valley, a visit to the Franklin Apple Festival, lunch, shopping and dinner at the Primo Barone's Restaurant in Franklin.Cost is $55 per person and a deposit of $20 is due by Aug. 4. GROVE CITY — Aday of dance workshops and dancing will be held from noon to 11 p.m. July 28 at the Grove City YMCA, 543 E. Main St. Ext.Workshops in contradance, swing dance and waltz will begin at noon. Live music and dancing will follow from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.Apotluck dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Participants should take their own chairs and a cooler for their food.The evening will conclude with a contradance from 7:30 to 11 p.m.Registration is $20 if made by Saturday or $30 the day of the event.
