1 a.m. Sunday — Peter Figler, 32, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, Michele Figler, 22, at the couple's North Chestnut Street apartment. Peter Figler is charged with simple assault.1:02 p.m. Friday — A tractor-trailer driven by Corey Lee Skaggs, 22, of Greenville, Texas, struck a railroad underpass on South Monroe Street. Skaggs was cited for failing to heed the posted size restriction for vehicles.11:50 a.m. Friday — Sport utility vehicles driven by Braden Scott, 17, of Butler Township and John Lamberto III, 29, of Butler collided at East Penn and North Cliff streets.11:12 p.m. Thursday — Stephen Montgomery, 31, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after police found him slumped over the wheel of his stopped and still running car at Kittanning and Jefferson streets. In addition to DUI, he is charged with driving with a suspended license.
7:13 p.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by Angel Shaw, 19, of Cabot struck a deer on North Pike Road.
3:57 p.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Amanda Montani, 18, of Butler and Michael Gartland, 27, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County, collided on Glade Mill Road in Clinton Township. Montani and a passenger in Gartland's car, Sandy Gartland, 27, of New Kensington, both wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries. Montani was cited for a left-turn violation.8:42 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by William Myers, 21, of Kittanning lost a wheel bearing and crashed into a metal guide wire support post on Henricks Road in Center Township. Myers was cited for knowingly driving a car with a mechanical problem.8:21 a.m. Sunday — An unidentified vehicle — possibly a white, Nissan car — struck a utility pole along North Pike Road in Winfield Township and did not stop following the crash.7:45 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by William Pollock, 72, of Ontario, Canada, traveled off Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township and struck a metal fence. Pollock, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to UPMC Passavant Cranberry. He was cited for careless driving.12:40 a.m. Sunday — Frank Fusca, 48, of Glenshaw, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle struck a culvert and rolled onto its side on Old Plank Road in Penn Township.10:48 p.m. Saturday — Gary Gaurrich, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Chestnut Street in Butler. He is charged with resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license and several other traffic violations.4:30 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Glenn Lebby, 49, of New Castle struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.Noon Saturday — Three members of the Fairmont State University swim team were injured when the car they were riding in crashed on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.The crash occurred when the car driven by Tim Pfeuffer, 34, of Fairmont, W.Va., traveled off the highway and rolled onto its roof. Pfeuffer, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Swim team members Rod Hunte, Michele Knicely and Trevor St. Clair suffered minor to moderate injuries. No other information was available this morning.4 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Jeffrey Hartwell, 19, of Parker struck an embankment along Route 58 in Hovey Township, Armstrong County, near the Butler County line. The car traveled back onto the road, rolled over and struck a guardrail on the opposite side of the road. Police said Hartwell, who was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries, fled the crash site.3:10 a.m. Saturday — Damien Cahall, 19, of Sharpsburg, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 in Penn Township.2:30 a.m. Saturday — An unidentified silver Ford vehicle traveled down an embankment, struck several trees and sheared off a utility pole along East Slippery Rock Road in Donegal Township. Another vehicle came and pulled the crashed vehicle from the scene. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.12:30 a.m. Saturday — Aaron Banks, 20, of Karns City was arrested for driving under the influence at Route 38 and Thorn Run Road in Center Township. In addition to DUI, he is charged with underage drinking and an open container violation.6:39 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Marian Steffy, 49, of Greenville, Mercer County, and Chang Dong, no age given, of Warren in Warren County, collided on Route 422 at the Interstate 79 on-ramp in Muddy Creek Township.Dong, who was wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition was not known this morning. Steffy, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.Friday — A car driven by Etienne Sibille, 42, of Harmony struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.Friday — An undisclosed amount of currency and coins was taken between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in a burglary at the Peaceful Valley Road home of Wilbert McNeish in Washington Township.10 p.m. Thursday — A 1993 Dodge Spirit struck a tree along East Danville Road in Donegal Township. The unknown driver fled the scene after the crash, leaving the car behind. The car's owner, who police did not identify, on Friday reported the vehicle stolen.Thursday — Ronald McKelvey, 47, of Cabot was arrested for allegedly assaulting Cheryl Ann Antal-McKelvey, 39, of Cabot during a domestic dispute at a Leasureville Road home in Winfield Township. McKelvey is charged with simple assault and harassment.Wednesday — A small safe and pistol were stolen between 5 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. in a burglary at the Moorehead Road home of David Patterson in Winfield Township.Wednesday — Trevor Raible, 19, of Fenelton was arrested for allegedly taking DVDs and Sony Playstation 2 games owned by family members at the Old East 422 home of Ernest Raible in Clearfield Township. Trevor Raible is charged with theft.1:05 p.m. Oct. 31 — Cars driven by Viva Davis, no age given, and Karen Bauer, no age given, both of Butler collided on Route 356 near Philmar Drive in Summit Township. Davis and a passenger in her car, Mary Lou Rearick, no age give, of Butler, both wearing seat belts, were treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.Oct. 28 — More than $300 in physician-prescribed fentanyl patches were stolen between Oct. 25 and 28 in a burglary at a Lite Lane home near Route 8 in Center Township. The topical patches are used to treat chronic pain that cannot be controlled by less potent pain relievers.
Saturday — A blue, 1993 Ford Taurus was reported stolen about 9 a.m. from the driveway of a home near Buffington Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County. The car, owned by Stacey Beere of Worthington, was recovered about an hour later on River Road in nearby Mosgrove.
2:55 a.m. Sunday — Janine Rihel, 22, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Springfield Church and McCurdy roads in Jackson Township, Mercer County.1:35 a.m. Sunday — Mark Bonanni, 25, of Volant was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Olde Mercer Road and Route 208 in Springfield Township, Mercer County. In addition to DUI, he was cited for driving too fast for conditions, driving on the wrong side of the road and careless driving.
