10:20 p.m. Sunday - Michael Korn, 50, of Connoquenessing was arrested for driving under the influence on West New Castle Street.Saturday - Jennie Morris, 26, of 1921 N. Main St. Ext. was arrested for allegedly breaking into the North McKean Street home of Brad Hofer and taking a wool rug valued at $1,500. Hofer previously had obtained a court-issued protection from abuse order against the defendant.Morris was arraigned on charges of burglary, theft, criminal mischief and indirect criminal contempt, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.Friday - Nicholas Campbell, 22, of 430 W. New Castle St., Apt. 12, allegedly lied to police when he claimed his apartment was burglarized and a friend's purse taken. Police said Campbell later admitted he took the purse that contained $20.Campbell is charged with false reports to law enforcement authorities, theft, receiving stolen property and public drunkenness.
8:45 p.m. Sunday - Micah Olson-Sawyer, 25, of Grove City was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 4-year-old boy and the child's mother during a domestic dispute at an Old Plank Estates home. Olson-Sawyer is charged with simple assault and harassment.
4:30 p.m. Sunday - A van driven by Amy Anderson, 18, of Karns City struck the side of a bridge abutment on Fairmont Road in Fairview Township. Anderson said the crash occurred when she swerved her vehicle to avoid a deer on the road.2:40 a.m. Sunday - Walter Rager Sr., 27, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Duffy Road in Center Township.2:05 a.m. Sunday - Joseph B. Moore, 18, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 356 and Marwood Road in Jefferson Township.Sunday - A white, 1994 Yamaha Y2-250 motorcycle valued at $1,800 was taken from a garage in a burglary between Sept. 26 and Sunday at the Center Drive home of David Ellenberger in Oakland Township.Sunday - Split wood was taken between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday from a woodpile at the Worth-Washington Road home of Richard Campbell in Washington Township.Sunday - Three "Elect Kerry" signs were taken overnight from the McGrady Hollow Road home of Mary McCurdy in Clearfield Township.Saturday - A car driven by Jeffrey Papst, 17, of Forward Township struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Browns Mill Road in Forward Township. Papst was cited for driving too fast for conditions.5:53 p.m. Friday - James Getz, 35, of Harrisville was arrested after allegedly threatening Jodi Getz, 43, of Harrisville with a steak knife at a Golden Pond Drive home in Mercer Township. James Getz was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.5:28 p.m. Thursday - A motorcycle driven by Lynn Meadows, 38, of Sarver traveled off Frazier Road in Jefferson Township, went down an embankment and struck a wire fence. Meadows, who was wearing a helmet, was taken with an arm injury to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Her condition was not known this morning.11:07 a.m. Thursday - Cars driven by Daniel Perry 22, of Karns City and Melvin McCullough, 62, of Sewickley, Allegheny County, collided at Route 8 and Airport Road in Penn Township. Perry, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.1:54 p.m. Sept. 26 - A green, motorized golf cart was found at Center Drive and Love Road in Oakland Township.1:30 p.m. Sept. 24 - A 16-year-old boy, whom police did not identify, is suspected of smoking marijuana at Karns City High School in Fairview Township.
6:44 a.m. Thursday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Donald Fisher, no age given, of Pittsburgh struck the rear of a SUV driven by Dennis Wolff, no age given, of Cabot on Route 28 near the Highland Park Bridge in O'Hara Township, Allegheny County.The collision forced Wolff's vehicle into the rear of a car driven by David Jenkins Jr., no age given of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County. Fisher was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
4:20 p.m. Saturday - Three people were injured when a car driven by David McCullon, 20, of Grove City struck a ditch and two trees along Russel and Roger Hill roads in Coolspring Township, Mercer County.McCullon, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Zackery Cutshall, 7, of Fredonia, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries. Melissa Hudson, 24, of Fredonia, another passenger, suffered moderate injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt.The injured occupants were taken to UPMC Horizon Greenville for treatment of their injuries. Their condition were not known this morning.Sept. 24 - Tools valued at $295 were reported taken Sept. 23 or 24 from the Stoneboro Road home of Ronald McConnell in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County.Sept. 22 - A stereo and several compact discs were taken from a car at a parking lot at Route 173 and Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County. Joshua Kerns of Mercer owns the stolen property.
