The Harmony Fire District unveiled its new rescue truck during a dedication ceremony Sunday at the fire station. About 75 people attended. The truck, dubbed Rescue 22, is a 2012 Pierce-Saber that cost $375,000. State aid helped finance the purchase. Fire Chief Scott Garing said the truck will be used primarily in vehicle rescue emergencies, but it also is equipped to handle rope and water rescue and at emergency scenes involving many hazardous materials. The vehicle replaced the department’s 1994 rescue truck.
