Butler Township Police12:36 p.m. Thursday — A 15-year-old boy was charged with attempted theft after a man saw the boy taking a bicycle off his property on Saxonburg Road. The juvenile fled when confronted by the man but his identity was known.4:10 p.m. Wednesday — Amanda M. Doyle, 24, of Pittsburgh was charged with retail theft after attempting to steal items from Walmart.Doyle and another suspect fled before police arrived, but the police were able to track her down through her vehicle registration.Police also got identification from the Walmart Loss Prevention Officers.The other suspect has not been identified.
State Police, ButlerFriday — Unknown suspects broke into a trailer at McCullough’s RC Raceway and stole multiple items Thursday night into Friday morning.The raceway is a remote controlled vehicle track on Callen Road in Clinton Township.Douglas McCullough, 49, of Sarver owns the property.11 a.m. Thursday — Nikolas A. Gaillot, 35, of Butler was charged with DUI and possession of crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Herman Road in Summit Township.Gaillot was found driving under the influence of numerous controlled substances.8:30 p.m. Tuesday — Someone stole a wallet and checkbook from a car parked at a Slippery Rock home.The car was parked at 235 West Water St.The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
State Police, Mercer9:52 a.m. June 30 — Sarah M. Bess, 22, of Beaver Falls crashed her car on Cranberry Road near its intersection with Irishtown Road in Pine Township.Bess drifted off the road along a curve and struck a tree. The car had disabling damage to its front end.9:34 p.m. June 28 — A deer caused a crash on Mercer Butler Pike in Liberty Township.The deer jumped out in front of a car driven by Kylie N. Lebaroff, 20, of Slippery Rock. His car struck the animal and crashed into a ditch.
