Knoch boys blank Kittanning

The Knoch Knights received two goals each from James Morrow, Ben Greiner and Eric Steighner in a 9-0 shutout of Kittanning in high school boys soccer Tuesday.

Brad Troyan, Scott Herman and Bryan Ramsey each added one goal, while Steven Frye and Nathan Geibel combined for the shutout in goal.

The Knights (5-1, 5-0) play at Mars Thursday.

Slippery Rock 2, Titusville 2 -

Euna Jeon and Ryan Zarichnak scored for Slippery Rock (6-0-1).

Karns City 3, DuBois Central Catholic 1 -

The Gremlins prevailed in this game of unbeatens as Chris Harmon, Andrew Harmon and Mark Ferguson all scored for Karns City (4-0).

Kirsten Brant added 30 assists and 25 digs, Kariane Stuebgen 12 had kills and Jen Robinson had 13 blocks and 14 kills for Knoch (3-1).Seneca Valley 3, North Allegheny 0 -The Raiders (4-0, 3-0) remained undefeated with a sweep of the Tigers by scores of 27-25, 25-10 and 25-23.Pine-Richland 3, Butler 0 -The Golden Tornado (5-2, 2-1) lost this match in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-20 and 25-15.Moniteau 3, Karns City 0 -Nicole Strohmyer tallied five kills and Anna Bullman played well for the Gremlins, but Moniteau took this KSAC battle by scores of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-21.The Warriors also won the JV match 2-1.
