11:05 p.m. Monday - Cars driven by Sara Hilgar, 18, of Butler and Charles Gerstner, 22, of Lyndora collided at Main and Cunningham streets. Gerstner suffered minor injuries. Hilgar was cited for a traffic signal violation.3:25 a.m. Sunday - Joshua Macko, 30, of 135 Brandon Road, Center Township, was arrested for driving under the influence on North Main Street. He was also cited for driving without headlights on.Friday - Rachel Moore of Summit Township reported someone between Sept. 20 and Friday took the license plate off her sport utility vehicle parked on West Wayne Street. The Pennsylvania plate is DZ63259.

10:48 a.m. Saturday - A vehicle driven by James Bentley, 38, of Harmony crashed at routes 228 and 19. No other information about the crash was immediately available.3:24 p.m. Sept. 16 - Timothy McElroy, 21, of New Castle, Lawrence County, was cited for driving without a license and driving a sport utility vehicle with an unsecured load of tools on Robinhood Drive. McElroy told police he was driving around for a paving company looking for driveways that needed to be paved.

9 p.m. Wednesday - Victoria Loomis, 40, of Rochester, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and drug-related charges following a traffic stop on West Beaver Street.A search of Loomis' vehicle turned up a small amount of suspected marijuana and suspected drug paraphernalia.Sept. 18 - Leo Thomas McIntosh, 31, of Ellwood City was arrested on theft-related charges after police spotted him driving away from the flood area at Billco Manufacturing on Grandview Avenue with a television set in a box in the back of his truck.Police were earlier advised that floodwaters had caused some TV sets to float away.A search of the suspect's vehicle also turned up other allegedly stolen property, including a stereo and clothing. Police estimated the stolen property was valued at more than $1,100.

Friday - Officers arrested five motorists for driving under the influence on Route 8 in Middlesex Township during a DUI checkpoint operation.Additionally, officers made three drug-related arrests and issued 15 traffic citations. About 650 vehicles were stopped and about 50 warnings were issued.

3 p.m. Monday - An unidentified Chevrolet Lumina struck the rear of a van on Route 8 in Center Township and did not stop following the crash.An unknown white man, between 24 and 28, with dark hair was driving the early 1990s model, four-door Lumina. Edward Byers, 33, of Harrisville was driving the van.Monday - An Ingergoll-Rand gas-powered tamper was taken from a truck bed at the Peter Rabbit Mobile Home Park on Iris Lane in Brady Township. Trinity Custom Builders of Slippery Rock owns the stolen property, taken between 4 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Monday.6:20 p.m. Sept. 7 - A sport utility vehicle driven by Katherine Popp, 32, of Chicora struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Fenelton Road in Clearfield Township. Police said Popp, who ran away from the wreck, was cited for three undisclosed traffic violations. Michael Hedrick, 34, of Karns City, owner of the SUV, was cited for five undisclosed traffic violations.

1 a.m. Sunday - Three suspected illegal aliens from Ecuador were arrested following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County. The suspects remain in the Lawrence County Jail pending release to federal immigration authorities.
