The Barkleys in 1960

Jim and Carol Barkley of Evans City celebrated 50 years of marriage with dinner with family and friends at their home. They also renewed their vows with a ceremony officiated by their son John Barkley, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Butler.

Barkley married the former Carol Kuhns on Aug. 26, 1960, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evans City.

They have three children, John Barkley of Evans City, Mark Barkley of Zelienople and Tim Barkley of Evans City.

They also have seven grandchildren.

Barkley is retired from Billco Manufacturing. He is employed by Marburger Dairy.Mrs. Barkley is retired from the Seneca Valley School District.The Barkleys belong to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Butler.
