The party will include snacks, school supplies, a visit from the Dairy Princess and drawings to win book bags and lunch boxes.A Bible study series, based on DVDs from the History Channel and A&E, will begin at 1 p.m. today in the Assembly Room. The series will continue every other Thursday through Oct. 2. The community is invited. Subjects to be explored include the fall of Jericho, David and Goliath and the life of the Apostle Paul.
The youth of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive, are invited to a Nugget Fest from Friday to Saturday at Tom and Sandy Bowser's home. There will be food and fun Friday evening followed by tubing, canoeing and swimming on Saturday. Youth will leave the church at 5 p.m. Friday and return at 5 p.m. Saturday. A special worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. with the sermon by Bishop Kurt Kusserow. The service will include Sunday school students acting as lectors and the Sacrament of Holy Communion. A catered lunch will follow. Afternoon activities will include a performance by the Holy Trinity Lutheran Choir and ventriloquist Cindy Speck.
