A fight between two inmates at the Butler County Prison led to one biting off a piece of the other’s ear. ---- The fight took place at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on one of the prison’s regular male pods, said Warden Joe DeMore. He would not identify the two inmates who fought. ---- The inmate who had the piece of his ear bitten off was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment. DeMore said it did not sound like the piece could be reattached, saying it likely was a small piece. ---- DeMore said this morning the inmate is back in the prison. ---- It was not clear if either inmate would face any charges.
