Carl Leroy Hollenbaugh

Carl Leroy Hollenbaugh, 83, formerly of Big Run, died Friday at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Born June 7, 1924, in Big Run, he was the son of Charles and Viola (Bowers)Hollenbaugh.

Carl had a love for the piano and organ from a very early age.

Mr. Hollenbaugh was a member of the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler, where he was the organist for 40 years.

He preformed many organ recitals in the Butler area.

He had worked at Sylvania in Brookville, and later retired from Dumbaugh Electric in Butler.

Surviving are cousins, Eugene McKee of Punxsutawney, Helen Yount of Big Run, Melvin McKee and wife, Shirley, of Allegheny, N.Y., Irene Smith and husband, Ray, of Hamilton, Donald McKee and wife, Shirley, of Mahaffey, and Miles Muth and wife, Vivian, of Tucson, Ariz.

He was the last member of his family.

<B>Hollenbaugh</B> — Friends of Carl Leroy Hollenbaugh, who died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. today at the<B> Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home</B>, 107 W. Main St., Big Run. Funeral Services will be held at 8 p.m. after visitation, with the Rev. Alden Towberman officiating. Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery, Gaskill Township, Jefferson County.
