Charles J. Bergbigler
Charles J. Bergbigler, 84, of 255 Game Reserve Road died Monday at his home.
Born Aug. 7, 1921, in Butler, he was a son of William J. and Rose Gable Bergbigler.
Mr. Bergbigler was a lifelong self-employed dairy farmer. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmers' Association and the Butler County Soil Conservation District and was an agricultural committeeman.
He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.
Surviving is his wife, Virginia H. Denny Bergbigler, whom he married June 10, 1943; six sons, Donald J. Bergbigler of Fenelton, Paul C., Ralph J., Steven R. and Leroy J. Bergbigler, all of Butler, and Eugene A. Bergbigler of Chicora; three daughters, Evelyn M. Bergbigler of Butler, Mrs. Frank (Linda A.) Bohan of Fenelton and Mrs. Dave (Karen M.) Serafine of Chicora; and a brother, Robert J. Bergbigler of Butler. He also is survived by 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A grandson, a sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
BERGBIGLER - Friends of Charles J. Bergbigler, who died Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville with the Rev. Louis Pascazi officiating.
