Heginbotham

Richard M. Heginbotham, 59, of Wichita Falls, Texas, died Tuesday.

He was born Sept. 13, 1949, in East Brady and was a graduate of East Brady High School.

He proudly served the country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 25 years as a master sergeant. He also worked as a mechanic and service writer for Pruitt Ford and was a crew chief with Lier-Siegler.

A longtime member of the Eden Hills Baptist Church, he served as a deacon.

On April 19, he and his wife, Georgia Roofner Heginbotham, renewed their wedding vows after 40 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel M. Heginbotham; his maternal grandparents, Ervin and Julia Dunmyre; and his paternal grandparents, Maynor and Mary Heginbotham.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Georgia (Roofner) Heginbotham of Wichita Falls; his mother, Shirley L. Dunmyre Heginbotham of East Brady; daughters, Shelley Johnston and her husband, Ralph, of Kodiak, Alaska, and Amy Means and her husband, Jason, of Centerton, Ark.; a sister, Karen Seybert and her husband, Andrew, of East Brady; and his grandchildren, Jamie Means, Xavier Johnston, Aaron Means, Avery Means and Sage Johnston.

<B>HEGINBOTHAM</B> — The funeral service for Richard M. Heginbotham, who died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, were Thursday in the chapel of the <B>Owens & Brumley Funeral Home </B>of Wichita Falls, Texas, with the Rev. William Ferguson, pastor of Eden Hill Baptist Church, officiating.
