12:15 a.m. Tuesday — Jonathan B. Cross, 62, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle struck a fence and utility pole along the “S” bend on South Eberhart Road.Tuesday — Police charged Joshua K. Glenn, 22, of Chicora after they found him Thursday staggering on Armco Drive. Officers said they found him with a baggie of suspected marijuana and two marijuana pipes.Glenn is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness.

Tuesday — Susan M. Valenza, 57, of Grove City swerved her car to avoid a crash and ended up colliding head-on with another vehicle on West Main Street. Malysa Yard, 37, of Slippery Rock was the other driver.No one was injured but both vehicles had to be towed. No charges were filed.Monday — A wallet containing a small amount of money, stamps and credit cards was stolen from an unlocked car in the 400 block of Summit Street. The theft happened between 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.Thursday — A thief stole a wallet from an unlocked locker in the men's locker room in the Physical Learning Building on the Grove City College campus.The victim's automated teller machine card was then fraudulently used on campus.Anyone with information about the crime, which happened between 5 and 10 p.m. is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.

9:28 a.m. Tuesday — No one was injured when a state police cruiser and the trailer of another vehicle collided on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township.Cpl. Gregory Brandt, who was driving the marked police car, was westbound when he saw the vehicle driven by Ernest Perry, no age given, of Seward, Westmoreland County, stopped for another vehicle marking a turn into the Butler Farm Market. Brandt applied his brakes but struck the trailer.Monday — Police charged Bryan J. Lightner, 31, of Harrisville with drunken driving stemming from a one-car crash on Grove City Road south of Shields Road in Mercer Township.In addition to driving under the influence, Lightner is charged with failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, driving too fast for conditions, careless driving and reckless driving.

8:56 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by John M. Tomascik, 35, of Courtdale, Luzerne County, crashed and rolled over onto an embankment on Interstate 80 in Clintonville.

3:19 a.m. Tuesday — Benjamin J. Swank, 19, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Old Route 66 in Manor Township. Police suspect the teenager was impaired by marijuana.In addition to drugged driving, Swank faces charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.10:35 p.m. Monday — A Manorville man was hurt when a minivan's driver side mirror hit him as he walked in the middle of Hill Street about one mile northeast of South Water Street in Manor Township.Matthew B. Klingensmith, 51, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. He was cited for improperly walking on the road.Mindy S. Miller, 46, of Ford City was driving the van.3:10 a.m. Sunday — Steven McClurg, 23, of Creekside, Indiana County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at Locust Street and Oak Road in East Franklin Township.

12:05 a.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Dillon A. Sarver, 18, of Ellwood City slid on ice, struck an embankment and rolled onto it roof on Route 488 just south of Pfeifer Road in Perry Township. Sarver, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Portersville volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene.Sarver was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
