A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued through 1:30 p.m. for a portion of Butler County.

The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued a warning just before 1 p.m. Wednesday for southeastern Butler County.

Another warning was issued just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday through 1:15 p.m. for areas including Evans City and Meridian.

Both warnings alert residents of possible wind up to 60 miles per hour and penny-sized hail.

The warning also affects Pittsburgh, Allison Park PA and Franklin Park.
