Sally Mae Pflugh, 72, of 1403B Villa Drive, Butler, formerly a resident of the Parker Personal Care Home, died Tuesday evening at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born Dec. 22, 1937, in Butler to the late Raymond Smith and the late Mabel Cypher Smith Roth.

She was a 1955 graduate of Butler High School and had worked at the American Cancer Society for 10 years.

Sally was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Saints in Butler. She enjoyed drawing, playing the piano, organ and violin. When she was younger, she had appeared in plays at the Butler Little Theatre.

Sally loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren, and also loved cats.

She is survived by her husband, Carl A. Pflugh, who she married in April 1962; one daughter, Monica Reed and her husband, Gary, of Fenelton; two sons, Bob Pflugh and his wife, Laurie, and Rodney Pflugh, all of Brookhaven; five grandchildren, Sara Reed, Travis Reed, Kayla Pflugh, Bob Pflugh and Kelly Pflugh; one brother, Pat Roth and his wife, Patty, of California; three sisters, Beverlee Dugan and her husband, Terry, of Butler, Jerri Hilliard and her husband, Doug, of Butler, and Terri Burtner and her husband, Tim, of Prospect.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Bonita Jean Roth.

<B>PFLUGH</B> — Friends of Sally Mae Pflugh, who died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
