Gerald H. "Hughie" Liebler, 69, of Butler died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at his home.

Born Aug. 2, 1937, in Butler, he was a son of the late Gerald F. and Sarah H. Schaffner Liebler.

He had worked in the metallurgical department at Armco-Butler Works and retired in 1989 after 30 years.

Mr. Lieber was a volunteer and a positive influence for the Butler Area A.A. for the past 25 years.

He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and was a golfer and former member of the Armco Golf Club.

Surviving are his wife, Ilene E. Plaisted Snodgrass Liebler, whom he married June 4, 1983; two stepsons, James C. Snodgrass and his wife, Renae, of Butler and Curt C. Snodgrass of Cleveland; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Douglas (Tammi) Chamberlain of Butler; a brother, Ronald R. Liebler and his wife, Pauline, of Butler; and two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Joanne) Greco of Butler and Connie L. McMillin of Greenville.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, Amber Scott, Josh, Dylan and Tyler Snodgrass and Carly and Cole Chamberlain; a brother-in-law, Kenneth P. "Butch" Plaisted of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

<B>LIEBLER </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Gerald H. "Hughie" Liebler, who died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 17, at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E.
