4:55 p.m. June 18 - A motorcycle driven by Phillip Carosi, 18, of Cabot flipped over on Morton Avenue. Police said Carosi was wearing a helmet. A stuck throttle on the motorcycle was the apparent cause of the crash.
3:52 p.m. Tuesday - A mini-van driven by David Hamilton, 16, of Evans City veered off Johns School Road in Forward Township, traveled down an embankment and flipped onto its roof, landing in a stream.Hamilton, who was cited for driving too fast for conditions, suffered minor injuries. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt.7:30 a.m. Tuesday - Pickup trucks driven by Claire Douthett, 82, of Renfrew and Brian Kline, 27, of Butler collided on Route 68 and Shannon Road in Connoquenessing Township. Both drivers, neither wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.Tuesday - Someone between noon and 4 p.m. smashed out a car window and took a purse from the vehicle at the Trader Horn parking lot in Franklin Township. Amanda Westerman of Prospect owns the purse.5:40 p.m. Monday - Cars driven by Kayla Faith, 17, of West Sunbury and Celann Edwards, 31, of Grove City collided on Route 173 at the Shamrock Golf Course in Slippery Rock Township.3:30 p.m. Monday - Cars driven by Robert Hilliard, no age given, of Karns City and Matthew Sellers, no age given, of Evans City collided on Route 68 near Eagle Mill Road in Connoquenessing Township.2:32 a.m. Sunday - Benjamin Miller, 22, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 68 in Butler Township.
5 p.m. Tuesday - Cars driven by Mary Wingard, 34, of Kittanning and John Crawford, 23, of Worthington collided at Routes 1038 and 9103 in West Kittanning, Armstrong County.3:19 p.m. Monday - A woman and child were seriously injured when the brakes of their vehicle gave out, causing a two-vehicle crash at Bear and Deer roads in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.Police said the vehicle driven by Nancy Croyle, no age given, of Cowansville was unable to stop due to the faulty brakes and was struck broadside by a vehicle driven by David Brocious, no age given, of Worthington.Croyle and a 3-year-old girl were flown by medical helicopter to Pittsburgh hospitals after the crash. Their conditions were not known this morning. Police said Croyle was wearing a seat belt and the child was in a safety seat.
