12:25 a.m. today — Carl Neff, 39, ofChicora is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, Kristi Bowser, 32, during a domestic dispute at her West Brady Street home. Police this morning obtained a warrant for Neff's arrest on a charge of simple assault.4:19 a.m. Saturday — Clinton Blatt, 24, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on McClain Avenue. He was also cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.Saturday — Six tires on three vehicles were slashed overnight at two city homes.Nolan Hoshak reported that three tires on a mini-van and two tires on a car were cut while parked outside his West Brady Street home. Sharon Gonzalez reported that one tire was slashed on a car at her WestNew Castle Street home.
5:34 a.m. Sunday — Daniel Dickson, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Alameda Road in Butler Township.1:37 a.m. Sunday — Robin E. Scott, 41, of Karns City was arrested for DUI after her vehicle struck a guardrail on Route 68 near Seven Hills Road in Oakland Township.12:15 a.m. Sunday — Lauren Wilson, 26, of Beaver was arrested for DUIat Routes 8 and 138 in Clay Township.12:06 a.m. Sunday — Shawn Ealy, 28, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his car struck a tree along Fairmont Road in Fairview Township. Ealy, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.3:10 a.m. Saturday — Apickup truck driven by Gary Peterson, 50, of Pittsburgh struck a utility pole and rolled onto its roof along Route 268 near Kaylor Road in Fairview Township. Peterson, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.1:20 a.m. Saturday — Lee Hockenberry, 37, of Karns City was arrested for suspicion of DUI on New Castle Street in Butler.12:12 a.m. Saturday — John Dye, 60, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 422 near County Line Road in Clearfield Township.Saturday — Acar driven by Adam Vivic III, 43, of Butler crashed into an embankment on Brewer Road in Clinton Township. Police cited Vivic for a lane violation.Saturday — An unknown thief between Dec. 29 and Saturday stole a red, 2002 Yardman rototiller from the back of a shed at the Hall Road home of James Kildoo in Clay Township. The 5-hp implement is valued at $300.Friday — Someone stole hunting equipment and gear valued at $739 from a car at the Trader Horn parking lot onRoute 422 in Franklin Township. Among the items taken was a Bowie knife, Lacrosse boots, and telescopic shooting sticks. Edward Dougherty of New Castle owns the stolen property.11:58 a.m. Thursday — An undisclosed amount of scrap metal was taken from along railroad tracks adjacent to Hollow Road off Holyoke Road in Center Township. Witnesses described the unknown thieves as white men in their late teens or early 20s; they drove off in a green Dodge Dakota. The Bessemer-Lake Erie Railroad owns the stolen property.2:15 a.m. Jan. 3 — Two teenagers face drug charges following a traffic stop on Hansen Avenue near Pullman Park in Butler. Braden Bier, 19, of Renfrew and Derek Pope, 18, of Butler are charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia
6:44 p.m. Saturday — AButler County man was injured when his car crashed into a ditch and rolled over on Route 258 near Valcourt Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County.John Hoover, 64, of Center Township, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken with head and back injuries to Grove City Medical Center; his condition was not known this morning. Hoover told police the crash occurred when he swerved his car after a deer ran onto the road.Jan. 8 — Two switchblade-type knives, a marijuana smoking pipe and two prescription pills were seized from Lenape Technical School students.The students face charges ranging from possession of weapons on school property to possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
