9:36 p.m. Wednesday — Percy Guilky, 46, of Butler was arrested after an alleged drug deal near the Butler Public Library on North McKean Street.Guilky is accused of selling crack cocaine to Mary E. Adams, 36, of Butler for $150, according to a police report. Officers arrested the pair moments after the suspected deal.Police said they recovered a baggie of suspected crack on the sidewalk near where the alleged deal unfolded.Guilky is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility, all felonies. He also is charged with misdemeanor drug possession.He was placed in the Butler County Prison to await arraignment on the charges this morning.Adams was charged by summons with misdemeanor drug possession.1:39 p.m. Wednesday — Shaye A. Morales, 29, no known address, was arrested on a felony warrant at a home in the 100 block of Third Avenue. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant.Wednesday — An Apple iPhone application led authorities to a 13-year-old boy who is accused of taking his teacher's cell phone.The boy, who police did not identify, allegedly stole the iPhone 5s at Butler Junior High School. Police said an app called “Find My iPhone” was used to find the suspected thief at his home. Officers said they also found the stolen phone at the home.The suspect is charged in juvenile court with theft and receiving stolen property.7:25 p.m. Saturday — A Butler boy, who police did not identify, shot a BB gun at a house in the 300 block of First Street. A rear sliding glass door was shattered. Damage was estimated at $900.The boy, who admitted to firing the gun, is charged in juvenile court with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.1:18 p.m. Saturday — Michael W. Roman, 37, of Butler was arrested on a bench warrant after police found him seated on the steps of the YMCA on North Washington Street. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant.3:32 p.m. Friday — Brandon A. Dillard, 37, of Pittsburgh was arrested after he was found to be wanted by authorities in Michigan, following a traffic stop on Center Avenue.Officers stopped Dillard's minivan because it did not have a registration sticker. Police soon learned about the out-of-state warrant. He was taken into custody and searched.The search, a police report said, turned up two baggies containing suspected marijuana. He was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.Police later released Dillard after Michigan authorities advised they would not seek to extradite him.12:31 a.m. Feb. 22 — Wesly D. Stevens, 24, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a hit-and-run crash on West Penn Street.Police said Stevens crashed into another car parked in the 200 block of West Penn Street and then drove away to his Miller Avenue home.Officers were able to follow a trail of fluid from the scene of the crash to Stevens' home. When they pulled outside his door, Stevens, who was covered in blood from a cut to his nose, came out and admitted he was the driver of the crashed car, a police report said.He said he had three beers and drove away from the scene because he was nervous.Stevens agreed to a blood test. Results of the test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.161 percent. The legal limit to drive in Pennsylvania is 0.08 percent.
Tuesday — Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in the 500 block of Bessemer Avenue. An unidentified vehicle struck a blue van that parked on the side of the street and did not stop.
