Community LifeThe format for the 40 Days of Community Small Groups of Community Life Church, McQuistion Elementary School, has been changed. Beginning Oct. 4, the church body will meet from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Butler YWCA for LIFEGROUPS. Participants will watch a video-teaching by Rick Warren and then break into small groups for discussion. Light refreshments will follow the discussion time.Cost for the required workbook is $7. Books can be purchased on Sundays at the school or Wednesday at the door. Child care will be provided.The weekly prayer meeting will continue to be held in the Lori Bauer Shelter at Butler Memorial Park. The group meets from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Sept. Covenant PresbyAmanda Gilliland, supervisor of Children's Church at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will present a program to the Seekers Class on her experiences as an exchange student in Germany. The class meets at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the Assembly Room.Harmonic Brass, a brass quintet from Munich, Germany, will present a concert at 7 p.m. Oct. 2 in the sanctuary.
