SAXONBURG — The Knoch High School Future Business Leaders of America will host a dinner and a show evening featuring Brian Betke from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the high school cafeteria.
Tickets are $5 and include a dinner of soup, salad and bread.
BRUIN — The Bruin Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual rabies clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the fire hall, 100 Firehouse Drive.Cost is $7. All pets must be caged or leashed.
PORTERSVILLE — Aspring consignment lawn and garden auction will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at the Portersville Steam Show grounds, Route 19.The event will feature lawn and garden equipment. FAIRVIEW TWP — A celebration will be held from noon to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fairview Township Municipal Building to benefit The Nicholas G. Dunlap Memorial Scholarship Fund.The event will include live music. Admission to the event is $2. Food and drink, Chinese auction tickets, children's activities, door prizes and raffle tickets will be available.

FORD CITY — A General Educational Development test will be conducted from 6 to 10 p.m. April 17 and 18 at Ford City Junior/Senior High School, Fourth Avenue and 11th Street, Ford City.Cost for the test is $50. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.Candidates age 16 and 17 must present a written request from an employer, educational institution or armed forces recruiting officer.The deadline to register for the exam is Friday.Registration forms are available at the Armstrong School District Administration Building, 410 Main St., Ford City.Applicants must present a photo identification at the time of testing.
