Esther 'Bunnie' Neal

Esther "Bunnie" Chamberlain Neal, 82, of The Lodge Retirement Community, Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Lynn Haven, Fla., died June 14 after a valiant fight with cancer.

Born Aug. 8, 1925, in Carmel, N.Y., she was the daughter of Esther and the Rev. Robert S. Chamberlain.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts degree from Towson University. She was a teacher and principal for years in the Prince Georges County School System in Maryland.

Mrs. Neal was a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution and V.A.S.A. Drott Lodge, a Swedish-American fraternal organization. She was a member of Christ's Church at Mason.

Bunnie enjoyed reading, singing, playing the piano and being a companion to her loving husband of 35 years, Paul F. Neal, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Sam DePew of Middletown, Ohio, and his wife, Judy; two daughters, Connie Caproni of Portersville and her husband, Jack, and Karen Thagard of Coto de Caza, Calif., and her husband, George; a stepdaughter, Cindy Moran of Heidelberg, Germany, and her husband, David; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

<B>NEAL</B> — Following cremation, a memorial service for Esther "Bunnie" Chamberlain Neal, who died Saturday, June 14, 2008, was June 19 at The Lodge Retirement Community in Cincinnati.Condolences may be sent to Paul F.
