Monday - Randall Murray of Butler reported a hit-and-run accident in which his vehicle was struck by a larger vehicle sometime overnight.3:40 a.m. Saturday - A 17-year-old Butler male was charged with driving under the influence, other alcohol-related violations and traffic violations.2:35 a.m. Saturday - Brian Wickwire, 37, of Butler was charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property after a plain clothes patrol observed him walking down the fire escape of a West Birch Street apartment carrying a vacuum cleaner. Police discovered forced entry into the apartment, which was vacant and being renovated.

3:46 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Dennis Claypoole Jr., 34, of Grove City, a car driven by Matthew Matusek, 20, of North Wales, and a vehicle driven by Kristy Leinenbach, 27, of Butler were involved in an accident on Route 8 near Fox Hollow Road in Center Township. Claypoole's car struck the rear of Matusek's, which then hit the rear of Leinenbach's. Both Matusek and Leinenbach were stopped in southbound traffic. Matusek complained of experiencing pain and was transported to Butler Hospital. All three drivers were wearing seat belts.9:40 a.m. Tuesday - A dump truck driven by Richard Serlo, 51, of Jeannette struck a drainage pipe while traveling along the berm of Route 308 in Clay Township. The impact caused the truck to roll onto the driver's side. Serlo and a passenger, Michael Dupain, 23, of Coraopolis, weren't injured. The truck was towed from the scene. Both men were wearing seat belts.Tuesday - Mark Bell, 35, of Butler reported the theft of two televisions worth $550 from a storage garage at Butler Mini Storage in Connoquenessing Township sometime since Nov. 10. The lock to the garage was cut.Tuesday - Zarnick Welding of Petrolia reported the theft of approximately 250 feet of copper wire from a welding trailer in the 2500 block of Onieda Valley Road in Washington Township sometime since April 25. Anyone with information about the theft may call state police at 724-284-8100.
