Third graders at Chicora Elementary School in the Karns City School District were asked to write about “What Valentine’s Day means to me.” Here is what they said.

Valentine’s Day means to me that every family should get together to share love and joy. Every family should have a nice meal for everybody. They should give cards and love and friendship. I love Valentine’s Day!!!

One thing I like more than others. The one thing I like more than others is when I get presents. I get 5 bucks from my grandma and 50 bucks from my grandpa. At school we give presents to boys and girls. Have a very happy Valintines Day.

Valentine’s Day is a special time for me. When I spend time whith my family and friends my Grandma amd Grandpa make awesome food. Tyler bakes cakes. George cleans the house. I decorate. My Aunt and Uncle come over. We have friends over. My Grandma and Grandpa love on me and my brothers. We all play games and watch movies. We eat candy. We love on each other and give kisses and hugs. My brothers and I do plaps and sing songs. We do dances with the music. Then my friends get ready for bed. My brothers friends get ready for bed, but we stay up till 3:00 am. Then we all go to bed. When we get up, we get changed and then we play for a while and then we have brunch. We all play Valentinens games. Good day.

I love Valentine’s Day. When I go to my friends house they give me a present. Also when I go to my other friends’ they give me a Valentine’s card. Then, I go to my Aunt’s house. Last, I go to my Bff’s house and they give me a heart shape box with cholate cookies in it. Also my friends come over and we play a game. My mom and Dad give me a card.
