Gary Duane Morris
Gary Duane Morris, 58, of Butler passed away Sunday at his home.
He was born March 22, 1953, in Sayre, Bradford County, the son of Shirley Morris Wilson of Forksville, Sullivan County, and the late M. Duane Morris.
Gary was a member of the Church of God in Evans City.
He graduated from Sullivan County High School and received his bachelor's degree in forestry from Penn State University.
He worked for Range Resources as a lease operator and also owned his own consulting forestry business.
Gary was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hiking, canoeing, kayaking, hunting and camping. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving, along with his mother, are his wife, Deborah (Schillo) Morris, who he married June 28, 1980; a son, Shawn Duane Morris and his wife, Elisabeth, of Zelienople; a daughter, Kimberly Suzanne Morris of Butler; and two sisters, Cindy (Paul) Baker of California and Penny Acosta of Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his father, M. Duane Morris, and his stepfather, Robert Wilson.
<B>MORRIS</B> — Friends of Gary Duane Morris, who died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, will be received at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today. Services will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with his pastor, Keith Karns, officiating.
