4:15 a.m. Sunday — An unknown vandal damaged a mailbox on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.3:40 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Joshua L. Ross, 22, of Parker struck a guardrail on Route 268, north of Argyle Street in Parker Township. Police said Ross, who fled the scene but later was found, was cited for careless driving.2:32 a.m. June 30 — Karl J. Giese, 32, of Butler was hurt when he lost control of his sport utility vehicle, traveled over a brick wall and hit several trees along Route 308, just north of Holyoke Road in Center Township. Giese, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Police suspect Giese was intoxicated at the time of the wreck, and he was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results are pending.1:54 a.m. June 29 — Russell M. Digiacomo, 50, of Karns City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Roosevelt Boulevard in Butler Township.June 25 — An unknown burglar stole $9,700 worth of guns and tools from a detached garage at a home in the 400 block of Foxburg Road in Allegheny Township. The break-in happened between June 15 and 25.11:21 p.m. July 3 — Levi King, 20, of Kittanning was injured when the 2002 Jeep he was driving overturned on Route 38 in Concord Township. Police said King lost control of the vehicle while he was rounding a bend. A passenger who wore a seat belt was not injured.1:08 a.m. June 17 — Nicole Hays, 19, of Gibsonia, is suspected of driving under the influence in a wreck on Glade Run Road in Adams Township. Police said she lost control of the vehicle and it hit a tree. She was taken to the Butler hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results are pending.
9:20 p.m. July 5 — Neil D. Watt of Ellwood City told police that his 7-month-old black Lab female dog was taken from his residence on Shaffer Road.
