Bessie Ann “Bee” Claypoole Stepp, 53, of Petrolia, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital.

Bee was born Nov. 19, 1968, and was the daughter of Blaine H. Claypoole and Pearl Boofer.

Bessie had a one-of-a-kind personality and was never afraid to speak her mind. She will be remembered for her love and loyalty to her father, and also her love and compassion for animals. She had a passion for music and art. She was full of life, and always had the most beautiful long hair and self-painted, gorgeous nails. Bessie will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Bee is survived by her father, Blaine “Ike” Claypoole; four brothers; one stepbrother; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Bessie also leaves behind several close companions.

Bee was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Boofer; her stepmother, Nancy Claypoole; her brother, Clarence Claypoole; and a nephew, Christopher Claypoole.

STEPP — Services and burial were private for Bessie Ann “Bee” Claypoole Stepp, who died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022.

A memorial gathering will be held at her homestead and will be announced at a later date.
