4:19 a.m. Sunday — William Helzer of Butler reported a hit-and-run accident in which his legally parked Pontiac Sunfire was hit outside his residence at 126 N. Monroe St.1:54 a.m. Sunday — Chad D. Caldwell was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and not obeying traffic signals following a traffic stop on Jefferson Street.8:13 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Barbara Thompson, 51, of Butler and a car driven by Deborah Schulter, 52, of Butler collided at the intersection of East Brady and North McKean streets. Schulter and her passenger, Kathy Schulter, 23, received minor injuries. Thompson was not injured. Thompson was charged for a stop sign violation.2:15 a.m. Saturday — Edgar Padilla, 38, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, careless driving and possession of a small amount of marijuana following a traffic stop on West Jefferson Street.4:20 p.m. Sept. 10 — Nicholas Oesterling Jr., 22, of Butler was charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking and criminal conspiracy for allegedly removing items from the house of his cousin, Joshua Albright, 29, at 408 W. Penn St. Oesterling is accused of pushing in an air conditioner to gain access to the home while Albright was staying in Pittsburgh and taking a PlayStation 2, 15 video games and 25 DVDs. Oesterling told police he owned the items. Oesterling on Friday was arraigned and jailed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond. Erin Anne Lazor, 23, of Saxonburg was charged with criminal conspiracy for allegedly helping Oesterling.
12:50 p.m. Sunday — A motorcycle driven by Sandra Coburn, 37, of Prospect was traveling on East Portersville Road in Portersville when it struck a small ditch and a concrete step before rolling onto its side in a yard. She received a minor ankle injury.Sunday — James Walker of Butler reported the theft of a red and silver 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4-by-4 between 12:45 a.m. and 1:54 a.m. from the front parking lot of The Beer Garden on Oneida Valley Road in Washington Township. The vehicle has a decal on the back window with the words "Walker Racing." Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.1:12 a.m. Sunday — Someone broke a window into the office of Brown's Country Kitchen on Portersville Road in Portersville, setting off an alarm. Nothing was reported missing. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.Sunday — Harry Stackawitz reported an attempted burglary in which someone damaged his residence on Eau Claire Road in Marion Township between Aug. 15 and Sept. 17.6:30 p.m. Saturday — Amanda Jo Mcintyre, 20, of New Bethlehem was arrested for retail theft for allegedly stealing $186 in clothing from Boscov's Department Store in the Clearview Mall in Center Township.6 p.m. Saturday — James McDade, 37, of Waterford, Pa., was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and several summary violations following a traffic stop on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.5:45 p.m. Saturday — Keli Louise Keihl, 26, of Karns City reported receiving two counterfeit $50 bills at Lake Arthur Estates in Muddy Creek Township. Police are investigating.3:45 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Daniel Christensen, 21, of Slippery Rock and a car driven by Paul Leasure, 63, of Butler collided at the intersection of Route 8 and Duffy Road in Brady Township. Leasure was taken by Butler Ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Christensen and his two passengers were not injured. All four men were wearing seat belts. Police also were assisted by the Unionville and Center Township volunteer fire departments.2:45 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Phillip Dailey, 25, of Butler crashed into a tree on Petrolia Road in Fairview Township. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.2:15 a.m. Saturday — A vehicle driven by David McCorry Jr., 21, of Butler and a car driven by Justin Manny, 26, of Chicora collided on Valvoline Road in East Butler. McCorry, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Manny was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.9:05 p.m. Friday — Stephen M. Trubic of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 8 in Penn Township.5 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Damon P. McIntyre, 32, of Pittsburgh and an SUV driven by Sheila Geibel, 45, of Butler collided at the intersection of Route 8 and Airport Road in Penn Township. The impact sent McIntrye's car into a car driven by Andrew Reese, 43, of Butler that was sitting at the intersection on West Airport Road. McIntrye, who was not wearing a seat belt, received minor injuries. Geibel and Neese were not injured. McIntrye was cited for not yielding the right-of-way. Penn Township Fire/Rescue assisted police.
Friday — Brent Campbell, 35, of Sandy Lake reported the theft of a chainsaw from his pickup truck while it was parked at his Mercer Road residence between 4 p.m. Thursday and 5 p.m. Friday.6:25 p.m. Sept. 9 — A vehicle driven by Joseph Lachendo, age unavailable, hit a ditch on Tower Road in Springfield Township. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Tuesday — Bowser Tire in Worthington reported a hit-and-run accident in which someone backed into a 1987 Chrysler Lebaron in its West Franklin Township parking lot between 10 a.m. last Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday. Police are investigating.Aug. 8 — A burglary was reported at the home of Joanne Russell, 43, on Horseshoe Drive in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, in which a $50 gold-plated horseshoe was stolen between July 26 and Aug. 8. The burglar caused $100 worth of damage entering the residence. Anyone with information about the burglary should call state police at 724-543-2011.
9 p.m. Thursday — Brian E. Beabout, 34, of Rimersburg was charged with simple assault after allegedly attacking a 31-year-old Rimersburg woman at a Medardo Estates residence. Anyone with information on Beabout's whereabouts should call police at 814-226-1710.1:50 a.m. Aug. 19 — Terry Deal Jr. of East Brady reported being punched and kicked by an unknown assailant near the Uni-Mart on Route 68 in East Brady.
