3:37 a.m. Thursday — A burglary alarm might have scared off three youths who tried to break into the Meridian Station convenience store on Meridian Road.Police arrested one of the suspects, a 15-year-old; a second suspect was arrested after seeking medical treatment for a hand injury. Authorities, meanwhile, continue to search for the third attempted burglar.Investigators have identified all three suspects, but did not release their names. Apolice report noted two of the youths are from Renfrew and a third is from Butler.Police were called to the business when the burglar alarm sounded, possibly when the suspects broke a window at the front of the building.Anearby resident told officers he saw one of the suspects dressed in dark clothing run from the building. Police spotted a second suspect running toward Winterwood Drive.Police said the youths face attempted burglary, conspiracy and other charges.6:16 p.m. Wednesday — Police said Jolena Bowser, 29, and Sean B. Cline, 37, both of North Washington were arrested for shoplifting at the Wal-Mart store, Butler Commons. Both are charged with retail theft, conspiracy and receiving stolen property.

3:48 p.m. Wednesday — Vehicles driven by Leah Testa, 18, of Seven Fields and Beth Dalmagro, 38, of Prospect collided at an intersection on Little Creek Road. Dalmagro was treated by emergency medical personnel. Testa was cited by police for running a stop sign.4:06 p.m. Aug. 18 — Jessica Ann Haas, 21, of Pittsburgh was charged with retail theft after police were called to BiLo Foods in Northgate Plaza. Found in the woman's purse were six packs of cigarettes, a lady razor, a scented candle and three floral items valued at $53.52.11:19 p.m. Aug. 17 — Fred Anthony Goldbach, 62, of 221 Northfield Road, Cranberry Township, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to obey turning movements and required signals following a traffic stop on the Interstate 79 ramp, just off Lindsay Road.1:06 a.m. Aug. 12 — Joseph M. Cummings, 40, of Pittsburgh was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive on the right side of the road way, failure to obey a traffic control device, endangering the welfare of children and failure to obey turning movements and required signals following a traffic stop on Lindsay Road.5:26 p.m. Aug. 11 — Michael A. Florie, 32, of Harmony was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding after a traffic stop on Route 19 as part of the Smooth Operator Program that targets aggressive drivers.State Police Butler4:35 p.m. Thursday — Sport utility vehicles driven by Curt Wooddell, no age given, of Darlington, Beaver County, and Mary Puryear, no age given, of Slippery Rock collided at Route 8 and Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Wooddell was cited for following too closely to another vehicle and driving without an inspection sticker.Thursday — Joseph Byrd reported that several undisclosed items were stolen between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday from an SUV at his Vinyard Circle home in Slippery Rock Township.3:45 p.m. Wednesday — Two people were injured when SUVs driven by Andrea Jay, 35, of Evans City and Claire Schwartz, 47, of Natrona Heights, Allegheny County collided on Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township.Police said Jay and a 12-year-old boy riding in her vehicle were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.Wednesday — More than $200 and other items were stolen between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Wednesday from a vehicle at an Estate Lane home in Center Township. Nicole Cloak of Kittanning owns the stolen property.2:35 p.m. Sunday — Apickup truck driven by Paula Scott, 25, of Butler crashed on Park Road near Route 228 in Middlesex Township. Scott was treated at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for unknown injuries.

7:10 p.m. Wednesday — David Charles Crowl, 51, was arrested for allegedly assaulting Darla Crowl, 53, during an altercation at their Center Church Road home in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. David Crowl is charged with simple assault and harassment.
