With the April 1 statewide stay-at-home orders set to expire tonight, Gov. Tom Wolf and state Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine extended the orders Thursday for all counties in red, including Butler County, and signed new orders for the 24 counties moving to yellow at midnight tonight.

A press release posted this evening on the governor's web page reports the extended stay-at-home order remains the same as the original statewide stay-at-home order announced on April 1, but is now extended to June 4.

The yellow phase order provides guidance for those counties entering the yellow phase of reopening tomorrow, including four neighboring counties - Clarion, Lawrence, Mercer, and Venango.

State guidelines for those counties deemed part of the yellow phase order include the limited reopening of businesses, as well as details about businesses previously deemed non-life-sustaining that are permitted to reopen if they follow the guidance for safety for staff, customers and facility.

On Friday, there will be an announcement of additional counties moving to the yellow phase at a to-be-determined date.
