Brown

Berton George "Bert" Brown, 68, of Schnur Road, Butler, passed away at 6:24 a.m. Saturday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 16, 1941, in DuBois, he was the son of the late Berton W. Brown and Cora E. Schuckers Brown.

Bert was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Herman.

He retired from Plant 2 at Butler Armco in 1994.

He was a member of the Roman Catholic Men's Club, the Happy Hunters and Armco Park, and he enjoyed going to the fish dinners at St Mary's. He also enjoyed traveling, camping and attending family reunions.

He was a graduate of Butler High School.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Mary Bauldoff Brown. They were married Aug. 8, 1961.

Also surviving are two sons, Joseph Brown and Dale Brown, both of Butler; two daughters, Darlene Teuteberg and her husband, Ralph, of Slippery Rock and Connie Bowman and her husband, Andy, of Butler; three grandchildren, Jennifer Brown and Adam Brown, both of Slippery Rock, and Nicole Harley Brown of Butler; one sister, Margerite Herold and her husband, Karl, of Butler; two sisters-in-law, Mabel Palace of West Virginia and Connie Brown of Butler; three nieces, Darilyn Esterline, Sherri Nichols and Michele Pall; and three nephews, Derek Brown, Devine Brown and David Brown.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

<B>BROWN</B> — Friends and family of Berton George "Bert" Brown, who died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home,</B> 124 E. North St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman with the Rev. Ward Stakem officiating.
