Karen Switzer

Karen E. Switzer, 70, of Parker Personal Care, formerly of East Brady, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022.

Born Jan. 4, 1952, in East Brady, she was the daughter of Melville R. and Margaret A. (Broscius) Beabout.

On June 4, 1971, Karen married Ernest W. Switzer. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 2008.

Karen was employed as a nurse’s aide for many years at Clarview Nursing, Sugarcreek Rest and the Butler VNA.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in East Brady, and sang in the choir.

Karen enjoyed taking walks around East Brady.

She is survived by two daughters, Stacie Boyle and her husband, Tom, of Rimersburg, and Tracy Wolbert.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Mallory Mika, Tyler Lencer, Ryan Lencer and Dylan Jones; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sharon (Tom) Hillwig of Shippenville, and Sue (Norman) Stewart of Lemoore, Calif.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

SWITZER — Friends of Karen E. Switzer, who died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Eicher of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Her burial in Bradys Bend Cemetery will be private.
