Steve C. Barnhart

Steve C. Barnhart, 76, of Warren, Ohio, formerly of Karns City, went home to be with the Lord at 6 a.m. Friday at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, Ohio.

Born April 16, 1930, in Cowansville, he was the son of George and Flora Crawford Barnhart.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Barnhart had been a coal miner and retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

He formerly attended Karns City Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Terry L. and Patricia E. Cunningham Barnhart, with whom he lived in Warren; four stepchildren, Thelma (Bill) Rankin of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, Kay (Bill) Brown of Avondale, Ariz., Harve (Ann) Ealy of Ravenswood W.Va., and Donald (Ginger) Ealy of Mercer; two grandchildren, Shereyah L. and Philip M. Barnhart, both of Warren; 11 step-grandchildren; and 30 step-great-grandchildren.

His wife, Corine L. Ealy Barnhart, died March 6, 1998. He also was preceded in death by a son, Steve C. Barnhart Jr., who died Dec. 20, 1971; two brothers, George and James; and a sister, Eileen Mahoney.

<B>BARNHART </B>— Friends of Steve C. Barnhart, who died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today at <B>Steighner Funeral Home</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Allen Ion, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Leesburg, officiating.Burial will be at Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
