Delnora S. Hainley

Mrs. Delnora S. Hainley of Louisville, Ky., died Nov. 11 at her home.

She was born in Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County, to Frank G. and Vera (McKee) Smith on Feb. 9, 1920.

A registered nurse, she retired from the Armco Steel Corp., Butler, after 25 years and moved to Florida in 1982, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Panasoffkee.

She moved to Kentucky in 2005 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Middletown, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William P. Kimmel, in 1957 and her second husband, Russell J. Hainley, in 1992.

Survivors include her son, J. Paul Kimmel of Pasadena, Md.; two daughters, Deanna C. Edgar and M. Christine Kimmel of Louisville, Ky.; her stepson, John Hainley of Monroeville; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters, and her son, William Douglas Kimmel of Boise, Idaho.

Her life was devoted to God, her family and service to others.

She was an avid quilter and gardener, loved to travel and was a hospital volunteer for many years after her retirement.

<B>HAINLEY</B> — A private memorial service for Delnora S. Hainley, who died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, is planned with no public viewing. Her ashes will be buried in both Pennsylvania and Florida beside her beloved first and second husbands.
