Jeffrey Busi
Jeffrey C. “Jeff” Busi, 61, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Saltsburg, Pa., passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family following a short illness.
Jeff was born Nov. 24, 1960, in Latrobe, and was the son of the late Peter Busi and the late Mildred Irene Rearick Busi.
Jeff had been employed as a maintenance scheduler at Cleveland-Cliffs (Armco).
He was a gun enthusiast, who enjoyed riding his Harley, a cold Coors Light, a good cigar, and working on cars and motorcycles. It was said there was nothing he could not fix. Spending time with his family, most importantly his grandchildren, and his dogs brought much joy to Jeff.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Karen Young Busi, whom he married Sept. 6, 2014; three daughters, Angie (Steve) Aveard of Glenshaw, Danielle Busi of Butler, and Sarah (Joey) Zona of West Deer; one stepdaughter, Chelsea Porter of Harrisville; one stepson, Adam (Paige) Porter of McDonald, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Macy and Emmy Aveard, Carson Porter and Gabriel and Hunter Zona.
Also surviving are two sisters, Linda (Simon) Duffy of Forestville, and Faye Busi of Hermitage; two brothers, Peter (Karen) Busi of Slippery Rock, and Dan (Lori) Busi of Hermitage; and several nieces and nephews.
BUSI — The family of Jeffrey C. “Jeff” Busi, who died Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Lewis officiating.
Burial will be in the Slippery Rock Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew PA 16053.
